Pets Friendly Vacation Rentals
Guide for parents to pet friendly homes, villas, cabins and other vacation rentals
There are several do’s and don’ts when it comes to pet friendly vacations. This is common as a person needs to think about not only the humans involved but also the animals. Pets are not human and they do not react to change the same way that humans do.
Do make sure that you have the animal checked out with the vet before you leave. They should be up to date on all shots and have a physical exam before setting out.
Don’t plan on taking them to a place where they will spend their entire time indoors. Animals want to feel at home on vacation much like the rest of the family.
Do plan activities that will include the pet. If you are going to dine out, plan on dining where outdoor seating allows for pets.
Don’t book a hotel for your vacation with your pets. Most hotels will not accept pets and those that do have tight restrictions. Look in to a vacation rental for the time period. vacation rentals most often allow pets and have areas for them to feel at home.
Do enjoy your time away from home with your pets.
